Don't miss out on the opportunity to get your youth group involved in the MC One Day SERVE on Saturday, May 1.
Here's how it works:
- Your youth groups chooses how they want to serve on that Saturday in your own community.
- Now go do it!
- Then at 6:00 p.m., come to Prairie Camp to hear reports and celebrate with other youth groups from all over the North Central District.
- Using the phone number on the card sent to you, call or text by 1:00 p.m. that day the number of people you will be bringing to Prairie Camp.
- Why do you need to do this, you might ask ...we're providing FREE pizza and we want to make sure everyone gets some! Seriously ...how mad would your kids be if you forgot to let us know and there wasn't enough pizza?!?
- One more thing ...if you get to the camp between 5:00 & 6:00 p.m., we'll provide some basketball and dodgeball for ya! Don't come before 5:00 though ....we might make you pick up leaves and sticks.

Our youth leadership team decided to use the district service day on May 1 as the midpoint in a '30 days of Service' adventure. We are going to do community service projects on the Wednesday nights during that period, and then challenge all the students to do their own individual acts of service during the other days. We hope that they will journal these, and then we will come together and share on May 12. I am excited because the students are wanting to find areas of service out in our community, not for church people. One Wednesday night we are doing something for a Head Start family, another for a shut in who has no contact with church, and another project is for the community youth center.
